Hooked On Crafts Challenge 16....

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend,we spent it shopping for a prom dress for my daughter,so not much time for anything else....Today is time for a new challenge over at Hooked on Craft we are also having a Design Team call,why not check both out here.....Our theme this time is......

SOMETHING BRIGHT!

This challenge will run from 23rd of January until the 4th of February...

With this challenge we want to celebrate summer in Australia. It could be using bright colours, anything to do with the beach, summer etc...

I've used a cute little bear stamp from Hooked on Craft coloured with promarkers and I've glittered the icing and used glossy accents on the cherry.....

The paper is from an S.I E pad called flourish......The flowers,gems and decorative pin are from Hooked on Craft........The ribbon is from my stash....And the sentiment is from a LOTV set....

And here's a little peek at the inside.....

A Gem of a Challenge .....

I'm hoping that Mr Blogger has played nicely and published this for me,as we have to be out early this morning....It's time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and this time my lovely team mate Lisa has this fabulous sketch for you all.....

Oh no I can hear you saying another easel card........

I've used Faye with dandelion from Pink Gem Designs coloured with promarkers........The papers are from my scrap box,I'm trying to use them all up.......

The ribbon,gems,butterflies and pearl brad are from my stash.....The sentiment is from a whimsy stamps set....The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts....

And as before I've decorated the small bit inside and added a tag to write on....

I'll look for some challenges when we get back....

Crafty Ribbons Challenge 11......

A wet miserable day here and very windy as well,a day to stay in and craft,but yet another Doctor's appointment this morning,but maybe when I get home I'll be able to do something....Today is a new Crafty Ribbons Challenge,this time my team mate Carol is hosting and she has the theme of.....

LOVE IS RED & BLACK...

And the team have come up with stunning inspiration for you all.....I've again used a neglected Tilda coloured with polychromos pencils blended with sansador.....

Yes another easel card,told you I had a passion for them again....The papers and cards are all from my stash....

The heart punch is a MS one and I've used my nesties to cut two small hearts,glittered them and attached them to the black ric rac and then to the ribbon,both ribbons are available from Crafty Ribbons......

The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts.....The sentiment is from a Whimsy stamp set....The little red hearts and the pearl brad from my stash.......

I've decorated the small piece inside added another sentiment and a tag to put your greeting on....

A little bit about the three disc set...

There are twelve fairies from each season and these are included as decoupage, pyrimage, toppers and more. One Fairyopolis disc covers Spring and Summer Fairies and the second covers Autumn and Winter Fairies. Each of these Fairyopolis CD's has twelve designs sets which include coordinating backing papers, envelopes, notepapers, inserts, tags and pillow boxes, plus they include coordinating papers, borders, alphabets, decoupage, toppers, frame cards and more, giving a total of 4000 elements per CD.

Cards for Men challenge....

I still say one of you is taking my weekend,because I'm sure I'm not getting one.....Today is my daughter's 16th Birthday she's all grown up now and I can't believe where the time has gone,yesterday was lovely as it seemed to be open house for us with friends and family dropping in with pressies for her for today......Anyway enough whittering from me,today is time for a new challenge over at Cards for Men and our theme is......

BOYS & TOYS......

The team were lucky to get some images to use and for my card I've used "Rafe Robot"...he's coloured with promarkers.....

The paper is both sides of a piece of October Afternoon paper....The card,screw brads and ribbon are all from my stash.....

I've used a woodware punch for my sentiment tag and a Happy Birthday stamp from a Woodware set.....

The corrugated card is a piece from a box and I've used an EK success punch for the edge of the red card....I've also done some faux stitching around the edges....

Right that's me done off to town to get some bits for dinner tonight,Katy has some friends coming and then they are going out next weekend to celebrate properly......

Truly Scrumptious Challenge ....

Another late DT card today,and it's for Truly Scrumptious the theme is......

SHABBY PASTELS & PAINT.....

But guess who just didn't see the shabby part,yep me so mine is just pastel & paint....lol....I'm sure I've been on another planet since Christmas........

I went with an easel card,have a passion again for them at the moment.....I've again used papers from my bits box and used some paint around the edge....

Sweet Tilda has been coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers....I've used a MS punch for my borders....Ribbon from my stash and the flowers from Mulberry Crafts.....

As you can see I've decorated the little bit inside,just to finish off....

I've made a little pocket and then added two little mats for your message.....The sentiment is from a LOTV set....

Monday already,I'm sure I'm not getting a weekend,right own up which one of you keeps taking my weekend...lol...Didn't get half of what I wanted to done,never mind another week maybe this week I'll catch up....

Today see's our new challenge over at Hooked On Craft ....This time we would like to see...

TRY SOMETHING NEW!

This challenge will run from 9th of January until 21st of January...

With this challenge try a new technique you haven't done before and explain this in the post. It could also be using new tools,a new card shape, etc... (Perhaps you got something new for Christmas?)....

I've made a new card shape for my something new,I first saw these being made by Christina at A Maze of Memories a few weeks before Christmas and loved the idea,just didn't get round to making one then,so thank you Christina for the inspiration......

I've used one of the cute images from Hooked on Crafts called cupid sitting with a heart,coloured with promarkers and the heart and wings glittered...

I've used go-kreate dies to cut all my layers and mats,the papers are MME called Love Me.....The flowers are from Hooked on Crafts....I also made a stand for the card and just punched the corners....Here is the card fully opened....

I've used a Hooked on Crafts sentiment for both the front and the inside...

I've used another image from Hooked on Crafts for the bottom called Cupid thinking....I've used perfect pearls around all the edges in each scallop...

A Gem Of A Challenge 37

I've used one of the new release digi's from Pink Gem Designs called Teddy with roses.....Coloured with promarkers...

The papers are from a Daisy & Dandelion pad,the card is from my stash......I've used a string of small pearls round the image and the bottom is punched with a MS punch....

The sentiment is also from Pink Gem Designs I've just coloured and glittered every other one of the hearts....

The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts and the ribbon from my stash...I've also glittered the heart on his sweater and the roses in his bouquet.....

Morning Everyone,

I hope your all reading this as it's a scheduled post,done from a borrowed laptop....Sorry I haven't been around but I've had problems with my laptop after it did an update last week,I couldn't use any browser's and I've lost all the pictures off of my blog from April this year back to when I started my blog,it deleted picasa, I'm so upset,but hoping to get them all back....I'm getting a new laptop so I should be back to normal after Christmas.....

I can't even remember why I made it....I know that it's one of the fabulous Kenny K images coloured with promarkers,but can't remember the colours.....

For this challenge I decided to make a money wallet for my daughter as that is what the bulk of her Christmas presents will be money,it will be her Birthday in January also and she is going to London with friends shopping so asked for money for Christmas and her Birthday......I thought it would look so much nicer put into a wallet,then a box and put under the tree.....And as purple is one of Katy's favourite colours I used that as my colour theme...The papers are from last year and I can't for the life of me remember who they are by..... The image is from Hooked on Craft coloured with promarkers,.I've used my Go- Kreate dies to cut out the image and all the mats....

I've decorated all the layers with the same paper and the added some embellishments......The white card in the center is to try and show you the acetate which will hold the money in place,it will be taken out...All the flowers and pearls are from Hooked on Craft,the ribbon from my stash.....

Hi Everyone,

I just want to say a really big THANK YOU to everyone for all your help and comments on my post yesterday...

Firstly I need to say that there is no need to panic THERE IS NO DANGER ON MY BLOG I did think when I was putting the post onto my blog that I would probably end up panicking people and I could end up losing followers and I was right I did and I'm very sad to see them go,but being me I had to say something...... Right let me try and explain what is going on,now I'm not very techie,it all goes over my head,but here goes...

It seems that when you go to comment on my blog you get a pop up appearing,I have also found out through lots of e-mail's,calls and all your comments that only a few of you are experiencing this and it would appear the ones who don't see it have a pop up blocker operating on their blogs which is STRONGLY RECOMMEND so if you don't have one or you haven't activated your one in your browser then please do so,if you don't want to see the pop ups.....

I remembered a few weeks ago the mega talented Bev Rochester over at All the Things I love had the same problem,Bev very kindly replied to my e-mail and told me the problem she had on hers was down to two certain things once these were removed the problem stopped and she has had no problems since, she even went to my blog and checked it out for me and low and behold it didn't do it for her either.... So again a big Thank you to Bev...I thought unfortunately I don't run either of them so it couldn't be those then light bulb moment when I set my blog up Katy did get me an account for one of them but I haven't used it since Nov 2009 so off I went in search of how to get rid of it,found it, found all the info for it in my book signed in and would you believe up popped an ad for an i phone,I've deleted the account but it takes 48 hours to take effect...I'm hoping that it may have been the problem and that will be the end of it...But please keep letting me know so I can then explore other things if needs be.....

I also found out from the lovely Lee over at Craftyloops who's Hubby very kindly gave me some advice that an advert can attach to a gadget, link, picture, maybe linked to a blog list or award.He also said it is not my computer which was a relief as I run the most up to date maximum internet security you can get and was worried that it wasn't working.....I have it set that it scans my computer ever day for any problems,and it reports there are no problems....

Some of you have also let me know that other blogs you visit are having the same problem,I can't speak for them,but for me I needed to let you know and get it sorted.....

I hope I have explained as best I can and that you all understand its a pop up and nothing else and that I'm doing all I can to get rid of it and hopefully make sure that it doesn't happen again....BUT I have also found out that they are every where in blog land and the only way to stop them is to enable a blocker so please please as I said before if you haven't enabled yours then do so....

Please don't leave me it always upsets me when followers leave as I feel I've done something wrong,I never stop following anyone,I may not visit all of you as much as I would like but I always return visits and comments so I never understand why people leave having chosen to follow me in the first place.....I really do appreciate all my followers that's why I love doing candy's for you all to say thanks....Take care......

I've used a beautiful Tilda,which would you believe has been in my box coloured since last Christmas when she didn't get used shame on me....She had been coloured with promarkers......I've then cut her out with my nesties and stitched all around all the layers on my card......The papers are all from MME lost & Found the green card from my stash....

I've used some cheesecloth from my stash behind my image...The winter sentiment is from Cats life press and the corner is from sizzix.....The tree is a Marianne die which I cut a while ago for another card and didn't use,while I was looking for the corner it fell onto my card from the pile in my hand and I liked where it landed so I just added the gorgeous flowers from Mulberry Crafts on top of it with some punched leaves and stamens..Funny how sometimes things work by accident...I've then finished off with some of the gorgeous Christmas ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to make my sentiment at the top.....

A real quick post...The lovely Auntie Em left me a comment today saying that when she clicks on my comment box she gets a funny add page or something,I was just wondering if anyone else is getting it as I've asked a few people to try and nothing has happened so not sure what is going on, I'd like to get it sorted if possible,but I don't know what it is or how to sort it so any help would be so appreciated.......

I have the latest Titanium Trend maximum 2012 security on my computer,I can't even send an e-mail without entering a password so any info is secure both going out and in.....

If anyone knows what it is or how to stop or get rid of it I really would like to know.....Thanks

At Last!!!!!....

Hi everyone,

Just popping on here real quick to show you the project I have been working on for about 2 weeks now,I've finally finished it..........

I've used polystyrene balls painted them with acrylic paint then glittered them,stuck them together with a hot glue gun and fixed them to a metal ring which I got from A Maze of Memories...I've then used some gorgeous ribbons from Crafty Ribbons,I must admit I've had them sometime so Ali may have sold out of the exact ones,but there are bound sure to be similar or you could do one in completely different colours......I've then folded them to make double loops wired them and again fixed them to the wire ring.....

I've also added some pearls and bells in amongst the baubles,so it makes a lovely noise if you touch or move it......I've then used more ribbon to make a bow with all colours and then wired 12 small bells together and fixed to the bow at the top to hide where the ribbons have been tied so it can be hung up.......Not sure the pics do it justice,but we had a lovely cold sunny day and I took the picture just inside the front door and the sun was coming in through the glass in the door....Anyway that's it from me for now.....

I've used the fabulous Tweedledee & Tweedledum image from Mo Manning coloured with promarkers and then cut out with my nesties.....I've then used my Go-Kreate dies to cut out my card base and layers...I've used my funky star punch from woodware for my stars and then I tied a bow from bakers twine for the center of the larger star....The ribbon and sentiment are both from my stash......

Morning,

Firstly a big thank you to each of you for your comments and encouragement on my order of 30 cards,well they are all made,I'll get a pic a bit later as it's so overcast here at the moment,a few late nights,early mornings and comments to self on how I must teach my mouth to say the same thing that my brain is thinking...lol....

A beautiful frosty morning here, but so cold.....Did you all have a great weekend???.. we managed to get all the Christmas presents,just need to wrap them now,so that means there's only the food shopping to do now.....

I've used the cute snowman image from Hooked on Craft coloured with promarkers...My card base and layers have cut using my Go-Kreate dies........The icicles have been cut with my Marianne designs die and then covered with the fabulous glittery stuff from hunkydory.....The largest mat behind the snowman has been run through a snowflake embossing folder....

The flowers and gems are all also from Hooked On Craft.....The snowflakes have been punched with my MS punch and then they have had the glamour dust treatment.....The sentiment is from Pink Gem Designs......

Right I'm off to make 30 Christmas Cards all the same design for a friend of my Mum's who asked me at the weekend and my head was saying no can't do it no time and my mouth opened and went yes,I walked away thinking did I really just say yes,how mad am I,has it ever happened to any of you????.....Anyway have a great day.....

Crafty Ribbons Challenge 6......

Morning,

How you all doing??? good I hope....Can't believe it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Ribbons Challenge....This time we have Charlotta (La Vikinga) hosting and she has the theme of.....

ANYTHING BUT A CARD.......

If you get a chance please pop over and see the gorgeous things the rest of the Team have made.....Here is what I came up with.....

I decided to make a garland for Christmas,so I drew a Christmas tree template then cut out 8 trees from green felt,you could make as many as you want for the length of garland you want......

I've then used some of the buttons from the fabulous Button boxes from Crafty Ribbons,gorgeous colours, I've used buttons from the Christmas Berry box,I've then added some sequins and fixed all 8 trees along a length of ribbon again from Crafty Ribbons,and to top off the tree a slightly larger button on the top of it....

Right that's me done off now to hang the washing out,down to Mum & Dad's to do some bits,back home sort dinner,go to the repatriation this time it's earlier about 3pm and the poor lad coming home is only 21 years old,then pick Katy up from after school Textile Design club,back home Dinner,and then hopefully catch up with my commenting so see you all later....Oh and I'll add my extra bits to my Candy which I haven't got round to doing yet...

A Gem of a Challenge 33.....

Morning,

Guess who has got up this morning with a grumpy Hubby and a not so happy daughter,yay it's the weekend!!!!.Hubby is not happy as we have had a badger in the garden and he has dug a fairly big hole in the lawn,and dear daughter,I think its hormones,hope things improve as the day goes on lots of bits to do today....

Morning,

Another wet day here,so hopefully after I've been to Mum & Dad's I can fit a bit of crafting in,that's as long as Katy doesn't want taking somewhere,love living in a village but such a pain with no bus service and the fact that most of her friends live outside of the village....

Today see's another challenge over at Crafty Ribbons,oh my word these weeks do seem to fly by,this challenge is being hosted by Maja (aka Cebelica) and she has the theme of....

At the moment we are focussing on providing miniature flowers made from genuine mulberry paper for crafts use - although we have a small selection of non -paper crafts too. Why mulberry paper? Because they are robust, realistic look and last longer than ordinary paper and it provide a sustainable income for people in the cottage industry. In due course we will be introducing more of other craft materials which is not related to mulberry paper.

I decided to use the line of Punch/Dies, Flowers and Ribbon from the Bingo grid.....I've used the cute snowman stamp from Molly Blooms coloured with promarkers.....The paper is Merry Christmas from Echo Park....The card is from my stash.....

I've used an EK Success punch for the border.....The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and can be found here with lots of other gorgeous Christmas ribbons....The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts except the stamens,they are a left over from my cake decorating days.....Have a great day.....

Finally I've found time to do another Candy,I'm so sorry it's been so long, in between I've missed my blogaversary it would have been 2 years in September but with so much going on I missed it....

So I've decided to make up for it....

Hooked On Crafts Challenge 10.....

Morning,

I'm so sorry this is late just put the computer on to find yet again Mr Blogger decided he wouldn't publish my scheduled post,I still can't work out what I do wrong sometimes anyway here is the rest of the post.....

Time for another challenge over at Hooked on Crafts challenge,can't believe we are on Challenge 10 already,and for this one we have the following theme.....

SOMETHING SPOOKY!

This challenge will run from 17th of October until 29th October....

With this challenge it could be ghosts, vampires, gothic etc...

This could be your image, paper or embellishments. Just as long as we can see something spooky to do with Halloween in your creation.

You can enter our challenges using any stamps and embellishments. Of course if you use products from Hooked on Craft and mention them you will have an extra chance at winning!

Here's my card and I've used such a cute image called Bat Bear from Hooked on Crafts coloured with promarkers....I've used my Go-Kreate dies to make my card base and the layers....The DP is from Nitwits all the card is from my stash.....

Morning,

hope your reading this as I've had to schedule my post as we are off to the Doctors to get our flu jabs,and then to do a bit of shopping....It's time for a new challenge at A Gem of a Challenge and Janet our lovely boss is hosting she has this fabulous sketch for us to follow...

Here's my card....

I've used Winter Phillip from Pink Gem Designs coloured with polychromos pencils blended with sansodor....All of the papers are winter time by Echo Park,the card and gems are from my stash......

The sentiment is also from Pink Gem Designs ....I've used a snowflake die from Marianne Designs for all my snowflakes...The fabulous glittery ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons....

A bit of a sad day today,going to another funeral a bit later,one of my Mum & Dad's other neighbours has died,so that's two in the past few weeks,and unfortunately I have another one to go to next week,this time someone I was at school with died suddenly at the weekend....

Cards for Men challenge....

Morning,

Well that's another weekend gone to quickly...Got a busy week this week,flying out in a minute as I have to be at my Mum & Dad's soon,they have some new chairs being delivered another thing that comes with old age they can't get up out of the chairs they have so we have the super duper ones coming to make it easier...Hairdressers tomorrow,Wednesday is a busy day,Thursday a funeral and Friday Doctors,not much time for crafting but keeping my fingers crossed I might find time,I miss my me time so much....

Anyway today it's time for a new challenge over at Cards for Men and this time we have the theme of......

"Make us Laugh"....

We also have a DT call as well.... We're looking for 2-4 new team members to join us from November. You need to be able to make a card each fortnight (using sponsor images if we get them), comment on entries on a rota basis and generally just join in our happy team. Making Cards for Men each time is not always easy, but the challenge is rewarding and you end up with a great stockpile of cards for those unexpected occasions.
