A Gem of a Challenge 20.....

Morning Everyone,

Hope your all having a lovely weekend...Did you watch the Royal Wedding Catherine looked every inch a Princess,can't understand why she didn't get the title of Princess....Anyway onto our new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and the lovely Christine is hosting and she has this fabulous sketch for you all to follow.......

And here is my card.......

This isn't the card I wanted to make but for some reason I couldn't get my printer to print so couldn't use the digi and papers from Pink Gem designs I wanted to .....So I had to go to plan b....I've used Ellie with her gingerbread man stamp coloured with promarkers  but I don't have the colours as I can't find my piece of paper,I will edit this if I find it.....

The paper is from my scrap box and the card,ribbon.and gems are from my stash...The sentiment is from Pink Gem Designs....The flowers have been punched out with a Woodware punch layered up and then I just drew some lines around each petal....Please popover and checkout the fabulous cards the rest of the team have made and join in the challenge with us....

Make me laugh.....

Hi everyone,

As I've not been a good blogger of late as you all know, because of my Mum being in hospital and then needing me to help her much more.. As a thank you for sticking with me and my blog I'm running a little competition alongside my main candy and there will be a prize for the winner...


Bet you want to know what to do well Katy found something similar on facebook and it has had the family in stitches and as I'm in need of cheering up I thought I would turn it into a competition and also to celebrate the forth coming Royal wedding,so here's what to do....

You need to start with Lady ( or Lord for any guys out there)....

Then you need one of your Grandparents first names...

Then your first pets name...

Then the name of the street/close/road etc where you grew up......only the first part not the actual street/close/road..i.e New Road you would only use the New part of it.....

Put them all together and this would be the name on the invitation that should you have been lucky enough to be invited to the wedding,would have been on the invitation.....

Mine came out as LADY MATILDA TUPPENCE-DOWNS 

Katy's came out as LADY BARBARA SMARTIE-FLEXNEYS 

My friends son came out as LORD DAVID RINGO-FLEXNEYS

My Great-Niece came out as LADY VALERIE TIGGER-SNOWSHILL

The team got  to use some images that Heather gave us....I've used a circle card for my base and then used circles for all of my matting and layering.....The image was coloured with promarkers then glossy accents put over ....

I've used one of the Tim Holtz mini bulldog clips to hold my sentiment,and used some gingham ribbon from Crafty ribbons to make the three loops..... Well that's it from me for today...Take care....

Truly Scrumptious Challenge ....

Morning Everyone,

Sorry I'm late with my Truly Scrumptious post but after having a lovely weekend my Mum wasn't too good on Monday and then yesterday she was rushed back to hospital so we are back where we were before,so yet again I maybe a bit hit and miss for the next few days....

Anyway today see's the new challenge over at Truly Scrumptious and we have a theme of VINTAGE for you all.......

For my card I decided to use the so very cute Fizzy Moon little bear,I've coloured him with my polychromos pencils this time....The papers are from the papermania V&A  paper pad.....The doily and card are from my stash.....The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts......

The lace and ribbon  are from my stash and I've threaded the ribbon through the lace and tied a bow....

The sentiment is from the same Fizzy Moon set...Right that's it from me for now,need to ring the hospital to see what they plan to do today,then that will determine what I'm going to be doing....See you all soon,take care....

Cards for Men challenge....

Morning Everyone,

What a gorgeous weekend it's been the weather has been fabulous,and I  had a lovely day out on Saturday at Ally Pally,such a wonderful show,I got to see Sara on the Crafter's Companion stand,Jacqui (Cats Whisker's Blog) on the LOTV stand and Heidi (Crafty Goat Girl Blog ) on the Little Claire's Stand,it was lovely to meet them and say hello......Lots of lovely goodies made their way home with me....In the middle of the afternoon we left the show and went to Westfield to do some girly shopping as well,wow what a shopping center,fantastic,and then yesterday was spent at a family birthday party,where I didn't do any thing only sit in the sunshine with my Mum,Dad,hubby and Katy and the rest of the family,it's been a lovely weekend feeling so much more refreshed now....But I'm still chasing my tail and will get round to see you all as soon as I can......Promise!!!!....

For my card I've used a cute Hanglar Stanglar stamp coloured with promarkers but having a senior moment I stuck it down with the colours written on the back so sorry no colours for this one.....

The papers are from the Dovecraft sugar and spice pad,I know they are a bit unusual for a man's card but I wanted it to be a bit of a spring feel as well......

Just Magnolia Challenge......

Hi everyone,

This is a real quick post...Can I say sorry for the lack of posts and comments this week,I've managed to keep up with my DT commenting and hope to get round everyone else soon,may only be a short and sweet comment but at least I will have been...  my poor old Mum has had a bad week not to good again so been there a bit more again...Taken her to the Doctors been there myself for some tests more next week,taken Katy back for a check up on her foot,everything going on well there,and we have been at school every evening this week for Easter concerts,Art club exhibition,and tonight it's awards evening...

I've had this card and one more in progress since Saturday and finally got it finished this afternoon....I've used one of my new Magnolias for my card.....

I'd like to enter the Just Magnolia Challenge where it's an Anything goes theme and they also have a DT call as well......

I've used promarkers to colour my image and the colours used were...

Skin - Dusky Pink,Blush,Pastel Pink,Ivory

Hair - Warm Grey 2,3,4,a touch of black

Dress,Flower - Pale Pink,Baby Pink,Cocktail Pink,Dusky Pink

Butterflies - Pastel Blue,Blue Pearl

Grass - Apple Green,A bit of Forest Green...

The papers are from my scraps box and I think they are some old K & Co I've used both sides the rest of the card is from my stash.....

The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts and I've just given the black rose a bit of sparkle with some glimmer mist and glamour dust...The sentiment is from a P I set stamped onto kraft card and I've just cut the ends and added a small pearl to each end....The lovely black ruffle edge ribbon is from A Maze of Memories...

Think that's everything.....Off now to put this onto the Just Magnolia site,then eat then off to the awards evening....

Getting excited now as I've organised for someone to check on my Mum and Dad on Saturday and I'm going to Ally Pally so I can feel lots of new goodies may well be coming home with me.....
