Pink Gem Designs DT Card......

Evening Everyone, 

I'm back with my second post for today...The internet seems to be alright now still don't know what the problem was but going to keep my fingers crossed...Anyway here is my DT card for Pink Gem Designs.......

I've used Ellie and snowdrops coloured with Promarkers,I thought I was being clever and write the colours on the back and yep what did I do stuck it down without thinking,so I'm guessing the colours....

Hair - Buttercup,pastel yellow,vanilla

skin - Dusky Pink,Blush,pastel pink,Ivory

Coat,Boots - Cocktail Pink,Rose Pink,Baby Pink

Grass,Snowdrops - Pear Green,Moss

The snowdrops have had glamour dust put onto them for a bit of bling.....The backing paper is from the Springtime collection of Digi Papers from Pink Gem Designs...I've used a MS punch around the paper to make my mat for the image and I've rounded the corners as well.....

The sentiment is a Pink Gem Designs one.....The ribbon, and charm are from my stash....The flowers are from Mulberry Crafts.........

Cards for Men challenge....

Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend...I'm playing catch up at the moment,as you all know on Thursday when I tried to post my new candy my internet went,but came back early Friday,well it went again Friday afternoon, it didn't go as such it let me on but then as soon as I opened a page it would disappear with a message timed out,we have unlimited internet so didn't understand what was happening,but it just wouldn't play..I hope Katy get's on OK at school as she couldn't finish her homework either so I can feel a detention maybe in the offering ...It came back last night and seems alright now so hopefully it will have fixed it's self,so on my card for the new challenge over at Cards for Men challenge where we have the theme of WATER chosen by my team mate Patricia....

 I'm a SAHM with three young children. I trained in Textile Design at the Glasgw School of Art and I love all things handmade, but especially papercrafts.  I love to doodle ... and my doodles are available to purchase as digital images through Stitchy Bear Stamps.

The team were lucky to have some images to play with and I used Trevor Turtle......

Now I have a huge amount of papers,far to many Hubby say's but do you think I could find any that had a water theme could I heck,so I went for the sort of weed/riverbank look....Trevor has been coloured with promarkers and the colours used were....

Body - Forest Green,Olive Green,Marsh Green,Moss,Pear Green

Shell - Denim Blue,blue Pearl,Powder Blue,Pastel Blue...

Then I've cut him out glazed his eyes raised him on some pads and fixed him over my layers which are all from the Jack and Jill pad,lovely papers......

The border was punched with a EK success punch and the ribbon, buttons and blue card are from my stash,same as the sentiment...Please popover to the challenge blog and checkout the fabulous cards the rest of the team have made.....

A Just Because card...........

Morning Everyone,

What a day yesterday it was so funny,as you are all probably aware it's half term this week so Katy arranged to go to Oxford shopping with 2 friends one lives in the next village to us so she was going to get on the bus first and Katy and her friend were going to get on the same bus but in our village,well that was the plan but what we didn't know was that the bus company changed last week and had changed the bus stops,so as you can image they were waiting at what they thought was the stop and the bus complete with friend went sailing by and didn't stop..So they ran back home into the car we got and then it was lets play catch up with the bus, which we did eventually,by which time we were on the outskirts of Oxford,the girls were laughing so much at their friend looking out the back of the bus checking if we were there.....

Anyway after all of that drama I packed some samples ready for the courier to pick up to send to Crafters Companion today and then made a card just because I wanted to I don't make many of those these days so it as nice, and here it is....... 

I managed  to find some challenges which it will fit into and they are.....

For my card I've used one of the new Magnolias coloured with promarkers but I can't find the list at the moment when I do I'll put them on here...

I have cut Tilda out with my nesties....Then I have used four different papers from Cosmo cricket Circa 1934 pad matted them onto black card and stitched around each of them...

I've used my X-Cut punch called leafy lace for the border.....The lace is from my stash and the bow is made with seam binding from Crafty Ribbons which has been distressed...The flowers are all from Mulberry Crafts and the sentiment is from a Whimsy stamp set...Right I think that's it,I'm off to my Mum and Dad's now then back later to see if I can make something else....Take care...

Now onto my news......

 I have been lucky enough to be asked to join the DT over at Just Tracys Crafts .........

A monthly Challenge which will run from the 1st of each month...

The first challenge is set to go live on 1st March and you can use whatever technique you wish - stamping, stencils, decoupage anything you like as long as its within the theme of the month.  Tracy who runs the challenge will also be launching in March her first range of clear stamps and below is William & Kate, how sweet.

A Gem of a Challenge 15.....

Morning Everyone,

Hope your all well???....Today see's the start of another challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge,it's my turn to host again and I have the following theme for you all.......

BUTTONS,BRADS,BEADS,BOWS...use one,two,three or if your feeling really adventurous all of them.......

Here is my card.....

I've used a circle base cut from kraft card.....The blue and yellow are both from the slug's and Snail's digi papers from Pink Gem Designs cut out with my nesties....I've used Andy with Balloon again from Pink Gem Designs he's been coloured with promarkers the colours used were.....

Skin - Dusky Pink,Blush,Pastel pink,Ivory

Hair - Sandstone,Caramel,Cinnamon,Cocoa,Chestnut

Top - Buttercup,Saffron

Trousers - Denim,Blue Pearl,Arctic Blue

Shoes - Sandstone,Caramel

Balloons - Cardinal Red,Berry Red 

I then cut Andy out,stamped two more balloons coloured then cut them out leaving the hand on one of them,fixed them together and then fixed it to Andy's hand so it look's like he has three balloons instead of one,I've also put glossy accents over them....

I've then used some beads that have letters on to spell Birthday boy......And  finished off with a bow to the side...Anyway that's it from me for now,will be back a bit later with something....Enjoy the weekend....

Pink Gem Designs DT Card......

Morning Everyone,

A Really BIG THANK YOU for all your lovely comments and e-mails after my post below,NO I'm not going to give up blogging or my DT's if I can help it as I said before I love doing both,it just means that I don't have as much time to make as many cards and blog as I would like,so your not getting rid of me that easily..lol...

Today I have my DT card for Pink Gem Designs and I've used one of the new Decoupage sets called Oh Boy.......so good if you want a quick card.....

I printed out the sheet cut out and used silicone to build up my layers...I then printed two of the beautiful papers from the Oh Boy Digi Paper set....The yellow card is from my stash......I stitched around the edge of my card,really got the bug for doing this so be prepared to see lots more.....

The ribbon is from my stash as are the buttons and the gems I've used around the image.....The sentiment is from the Oh Boy Decoupage set,so you have everything included....

I've used one of the gorgeous Hanglar images coloured with Promarkers,the colours used were....

Skin - Dusky Pink,Blush,Pastel Pink,Ivory

Hair - Chestnut,Cocoa,Cinnamon,Caramel,Sandstone

Dungarees - Pumpkin,Amber,Gold

Top & Shoes - Amethyst,Orchid

Box - Caramel,Cocoa,Chestnut

Grass - Pear Green,Moss,Marsh Green,Forest green

Shadow - Powder Blue,blue Pearl

I then used my nesties to cut the image out and a scalloped mat to put it on....The papers are all from Cosmo cricket called Pixie-licious...The bottom one has swirls of flowers and butterflies on it....I've stitched around all the panels....

The gorgeous flowers are all from Mulberry Crafts and the fab seam binding is from crafty ribbons...The pearl pins are from my stash and the sentiment is from a Whimsy Stamp set....I've used some pearls to make two swirls..Oh and the purple and orange card is from my stash....Think that's it..Please try and join in the challenge with us....

Just an update for all those lovely people who have e-mailed and asked the question...

My cousin has not been very well at all her 3rd lot of Chemo treatment made her very ill so she has had to stop Chemo treatment  and she has also had a heart attack as if she hasn't got enough to be going on with..Her daughter Ann-Marie is still in hospital but is doing alright and my Mum has been told that she won't be offered another new hip as her health generally is not good enough and also her age at 80 is against her so it means that she has become so much less mobile and has to be careful not to let her hip get out of line with her knee,so for me it means I am doing more for both my Mum and Dad,I'm doing my best to keep up with my crafting and blogging,as I love doing both and I love my DT positions,but I'm not having as much time to just blog hop as you can image with my own house and family to look after as well, so please can I ask you to leave me a comment and I'll return the visit..I would also like to thank you all for your continued support of both me and my blog...Take care....

Cards for Men challenge....

Morning Everyone,

Don't know about all of you but,didn't the weekend fly by.....

Had some friends round Saturday night which was lovely having a catch up and then yesterday the weather was awful so we didn't do much,I popped to the craft shop to pick up some bits then went to do my daily bits at my Mum and Dad's then spent the rest of the day,cooking and doing bits and pieces,did manage to colour some images in between....

Hubby is suppose to be on holiday this week but he's been called in for today,so I'm going to try and catch up......

Here is my DT card for the Challenge over at Cards for Men,and today we have the following for you......

 Recipe challenge - use 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments (could be 3 different or 3 of one thing)

I've used Andy on his skateboard from Pink Gem Designs,which is my 1 image part of the recipe..I have coloured Andy with copics this time borrowed from a friend, I wanted to try them out.....The colours used were.....

Skin - R00,R20,E00,E51

Hair -E50,E57,E71

Hat & Trousers - B23,B24

T-Shirt & Dog - E31,E43,E57,E71,E77,Y15

Skateboard - B00,B02,Y15

For the 2 DP part of the recipe I have used the gorgeous Slugs and Snails Digi papers from Pink Gem Designs and stitched around the edge...The blue card is from my stash.....

For the 3 embellishment part of the recipe I've punched a funky star out of cork and used two buttons which I've put some cotton through....The sentiment is from Hero Arts....

Last Sneak peek....

Evening Everyone,

Yay the weekend is nearly here so that means you'll all be able to get your new Swalk 3 stamps from Crafter's Companion tomorrow.....Here is my last card for you to see.......

It think this has to be my favourite image from the new stamps...Again I have coloured with promarkers and again the sticky note has been relegated to the waste bin before I realised,so no colours for you..I cut the image out with my heart nestie...The paper is from the SWALK CD's  and the edge has been punched with an X-Cut leafy lace punch.....the flowers,gems and ribbon are from my stash....

sneak peek # 3........

Evening Everyone,

Hope your all well???...Not long now till the weekend and that means it's nearly time for the new launch of Crafter's Companion's SWALK 3 stamps and here's another little peep at one of the stamps.....

I love this sweet image...I have coloured the image with Promarkers but I'm sorry I don't have the colours,I lost the sticky note that went with this one.....I made a spinner card and used one of the papers from the SWALK CD punched the edge with an X-Cut Daisy punch fixed them to either side of the card  and used some flowers from my stash with a gem dew drop in the middle....Will see you tomorrow with another little peep.....

In the meantime don't forget my new candy  has just started,check it out in the post at the top of my blog..
