Evening Everyone,
Just quickly dropping by to say Thank you to everyone for your kind words and thoughts and e-mails about my Mum....The situation at the moment is she was in Trauma and Resuscitation until Thursday night,they did try to manipulate the hip back in to give some relief 3 times but unfortunately it didn't work,so she was transferred to the Orthopaedic Hospital at 11.30pm Thursday night...Friday they did tests and then at 6.30pm Friday night she was taken down to theatre and put to sleep so they could try again to put the hip back,this time it was successful and the pain was eased...But by yesterday morning she had a kidney infection so she was put onto antibiotics,but they caused sickness and a rash all over,when we were there last night they gave an anti-sickness injection and some cream for the rash.....We have just got back this evening and the sickness and rash are not so bad but she now has the start of bed sores on her bottom due to the fact she can't move very much as the hip is unstable...We should know more tomorrow the nurse has said as to what they are planning to do,we do know that the hip socket has worn she had it replaced 23 years ago so it has lasted much longer than was expected.....

I hope she feels better real soon.. You just be there for her and we will be here for you..I will keep your mum in my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard it can be when your family is going through a rough time...

Oh my gosh I was just cringing reading what they are putting your mom through to get her fixed up. I said a prayer for her and I really hope she gets better soon!
oh gosh your poor mum has had a tough time of it let her know that everyone is thinking of her and i wish her a very speedy recovery.Also you need to get lots of rest huni as you must be exhausted from keep going to the hospital them back home i am thinking of you also

Hi Mandy,
Your poor mum. Bad enough to have the problem with her hip but to have the sickness and rash is piling it on and the bed sores are no fun - that's what started my problems with my heel so I can sympathise.
You take care because running back and forward to hospital can be very tiring. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh your poor mum Mandy. In my experience, there's always a domino affect after an accident or illness.
I sure hope the pain has eased and that everything else clears up real quick. ♥

sorry to hear about your mum hunny , my dad started to get bedsores - theres a thin blow up mattress you can get that you can use (lloyds chemist can get them in) but the hospital should have them or OT ,which your mum should have .
