Cards for Men Challenge 25....And Blog Hop.....

Morning Everyone,
Wow, can you believe it's been a year of challenges over at Cards for Men?
To celebrate we have lots going on with lots of prizes available for you all to win.
There are two challenges this time both with a Christmas theme and we are also having a blog hop to celebrate more about that below.... You can make a card or a present or both, it's up to you. We'll draw a random winner for each category and top 3 as usual......
You can get all the details and lots more ideas from the Design Team over at the Cards for Men Challenge...

This is the card I made,it's for a friend who has the real Bah humbug attitude to Christmas so couldn't be more fitting as he always gets in a muddle with his lights every year and the sentiment I thought was just perfect for him.....

I've used one of the new Edwins from Magnolia coloured with Promarkers....
Here are the colours I've used.......

Hair - Cocoa,Cinnamon,Caramel,Tan,Sandstone
Skin - Pastle Pink,Blush,Ivory
Jeans - Denim Blue,Powder Blue,Pastel Blue
Jumper - Marsh Green,Moss,Pear Green
Shoes - Caramel,Tan, Sandstone
Lights - Berry Red,Buttercup,Satin
Ground and shadows - Cool Aqua,Warm Grey 1,2,3,Lamp Black
A touch of Black Polychromos and sansador

Then I've cut the image out with one of my new nesties which I got from Pink Gem Designs...I ran a piece of beige card through a Craft Expression embossing folder they are such good value..The Paper is from last year so sorry don't know who it's by...The string with the lights on was a present from a friend about 2 years ago there was 25m on the roll,it's so great for this time of year and this image...The sentiment is a Cats Life press from Crafty Emma's Store......

I have made a gift bag to go with the card,I made a topper exactly the same as the card to go on the front so it all tied together...I used a length of the lights across the top and used the same red ribbon for the handles....The only other thing I've used are 4 red gem dew drops.I make a lot of these bags for giving gifts as it only takes two pieces of 12 x 12 card and a few folds....

As I said we are having an Anniversary Blog Hop...
You should have arrived here from the gorgeous delights on Kym's  blog to be on the right track, but if not - or if you get a little lost along the way then please pop back to the Cards for Men challenge blog where Donna has a list of all the DT members and the order they go in...

I've got this fab Lil Frog Die from Peachy Keen to give away.....
To be in with a chance of winning this you just need to leave a comment at the end of this post.
A random winner will be drawn on 20th December 2010..........

Here is a little bit about Peachy keen......

 My word is 'YEAR'.
At the end of the blog hop you should have 11 words, work out the phrase and leave it in the comments back at  the Cards for Men Challenge blog.
The blog hop will run from today until midnight on 19th December 2010 and a winner will be chosen on 20th December.....
so make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs on the hop for a chance to win...
