Morning Everyone,
I've finally got to do this...Wow what a week,as you all know we were away last week,when we got back my Mum told me that my cousin Betty wasn't very well....On Monday unfortunately my cousin found out that she has cancer,but we are hopeful that it's treatable as if that wasn't bad enough the next bit is heartbreaking,her daughter Anne-Marie who is 35 was staying with her to look after her but on Tuesday morning my cousin heard a big bump from Anne-Maries bedroom so she managed to get in to see what was wrong and Anne-Marie was on the floor unconcious,to cut a long story short she has had a stroke and is now in hospital paralysed down her right side and her speech is also affected..Her Mum my cousin is now waiting to go into hospital for more tests and chemotherapy but the sad thing is they will be in different hospitals so will be unable to see each other,it's just over a year since my cousin's husband died so there's just the two of them to look after each other...I know we all have aches and pains and problems but my heart goes out to my cousin and her daughter at the moment makes my aches and problems seem insignificant ....I am so looking forward to 2011, this year has been horrendous for my family with problems,death,illness etc so here's to a better year in 2011 for everyone.....

So sorry for your families news...it seems like so many in our crafting community have been invaded by this horrible disease recently. Sending prayers up for good news and good health.

sorry to hear you and your family are having a rough time I can sympathise as it hasnt been my best year with redundancy an operation and my cousins husband was lost at sea a month ago so like you am hoping 2011 is better, I hope your cousin and daughter get better soon lotsa love K xx

Oh thats just terrible Mandy, some people really do get a bad run. I so hope that the hospital can help them both and what a pity they are not even in the same hospital!! I will keep them in my prayers. Hugs

I'm very sorry to hear about more ill family members. It is lucky that she was able to get swift treatment; every minute counts with a stroke. Sometimes the paralysis improves within a short period of time and I hope that is the case with her. Best wishes to both of them.
