Simon Says Stamp Challenge!!!

Evening Everyone,

Back with my card..still so excited that Janet asked me to be a guest designer starting tomorrow...I had started this card yesterday evening for the simon says stamp challenge which is winter love and I had  used this pink gem stamp called snow love must have be psychic...it just seemed to say winter love to me...

I have made an easel card as I am loving these at the moment..it's coloured again with my distress inks and I have glittered the stars, cuffs and the snow...

The paper is both sides of tis the season by Bo Bunny from A Maze Of Memories this is a really fab shop for papers over a 1000 to chose from....

The button is from my Mum's button box (don't tell her she doesn't know I've been in there)..the snow flakes are punched out with my design objectives punch from the same paper and some white glitter card it just doesn't show up in the photo...The sentiment is one of Janet's as well...will be back tomorrow with my very first ever GDT card so please pop back and let me know what you think....

A special Box for my Friend!!!!

Morning Everyone,
Have you missed me!!! lol think not...Sorry I haven't posted anything but have had a few family problems and then yesterday I had a class to teach at my local craft shop again..I have this box to show you I have made it to put a special present in for my friend hope she likes it...



I have cut two panels out of the side and put acetate in so you can see into the box..



I have used a Tilda image coloured in with distress inks..I have mounted her onto a pink scalloped mat cut with my nesties and put her onto oposite sides of the box and the top...


I have used my new Martha Stewart punch called peppermint to cut out the decorations by the side of Tilda they are backed onto white giltter card but just doesn't show very well on the picc's..down the sides I have cut four pieces of card punched them down each side with my fiskars threading water punch and stuck them to the corners..then cut white card and punched that and then stuck these around the top of the base and the bottom of the top..



on the top I have used some flowers from hobbycraft and cut out the leaves with my McGill punch....



Off to have a look at what my lunch is doing and then I'm going to try and make some cards for some of the great challenges out there..Hope your all having a great weekend the weather is awful here still raining...take care.

Crazy 4 Challenges!!!

Hi Everyone,
Boy am I tired..we had such heavy rain here this morning about 3am it woke me up and I just could not get back to sleep..so after laying there Hubby had to be up at 4am to go to work at 5am so I got up with him and then made this card so if it doesn't look right you can blame it on the rain for waking me up early...I did another class this morning at the craft shop..we had fun again 12 lovely ladies plus me...They went home with two cards and were happy with what they had made so I'm happy..they have booked classes up to May so I need to get my thinking cap on....Anyway on to my card I have used one of Janet's lovely design's from Pink Gem I love these stamps they are gorgeous..this one is winter Milly..



I have coloured her with distress inks again..I'm hoping I'm getting better with them...I cut her out with one of my nesties...



I put glitter on top of the tree and used some flower soft for her scarf,boot,ear muffs and around her sleeves...



the papers are from a pad which you can use with the slice machine don't have one I just liked the papers...the sentiment is one of Janet's as well and the ribbon is from my stash..the snowflakes are cut out with card from my stash and the gem dew drops are from Tabby crafts...Off now to see how my spag bol is gettting on I didn't manage to get lunch today as we slightly over ran in the class so I'm starving..might have to go and see if I can have a chew on the other half's neck he's just come in..Oh no that's not when your hungary is it I'll save that tale for another day...enjoy the rest of the day..

Sketch and Stash Challenge!!

Afternoon All,
I'm back crafting Yay!! ..Life seems to have over took me these last two days..My memory it's not what it use to be...Had a family get together Sunday which I thought was next week so got to it by the skin of my teeth after noticing it written on the calendar by chance..Yesterday my friend rang in the morning to ask what time I was picking her up..Why was I picking her up I asked we had arranged to go do some Christmas shopping apparently and then have lunch so no crafting yesterday...hair cut this morning...but I have managed to make this card this afternoon for the sketch and stash challenge..hold on?????yep that's right told you my memory's not good at the mo...I have used my new Kraftin Kimmie stamp called Clara and some new Bo Bunny paper called flutter butter...



I have coloured her with distress inks and cut her out put some pads on the back and put her on to some cream card cut with a nestie..



The ribbon is from my stash can't remember where I got it from..the flowers are from a Maze of Memories...


I have put a gem dew drop in the middle of each flower..hope you like it..off now to put another card together...take care..

Craft Fayre!!!

Finally I'm back..this new windows seven is testing my poor brain I couldn't find my pictures...I had a brilliant day at the craft fayre yesterday..really busy even though the weather was awful still thinking of those poor people up in cumbria...we where up there in July on holiday one of the most beautiful place,s now one of the most tragic... feel so sorry for them so close to christmas as well...anyway this is a pic of my stand thankfully it didn't look like this aat the end I had sold most things all that worrying for nothing....




The Blue Cross did really well not only financial but lots of people volunteering to help by walking the dogs etc..and people arranging to go and see about adopting one of the many animals...these picture's are of one of the rescue dogs called Herbert..





He was an absolute star yesterday he is called a pat dog he has been acessed to go into schools,hospitals,care homes and respite homes to see people and to promote the work the blue cross do..



as you can see he is soo laid back...



I am so proud to support this charity they do wonderful work...hope to be back later with a card..hope your all having a good weekend what ever your doing..take care..

Winter Wonderland Challenge!!!

Afternoon All,
Well it's turned into quite a nice day here still a bit chilly though...Had to taked my lovely Dad to the Doc's this morning..It seems my Dad at the grand old age of nearly 81 has a form of Glue ear which apparently children get...I know they say that when you get older you can regress to childhood but that's taking it a bit far dread to think when I see him next he might have the short trouser's on...I have made this card this afternoon for the Winter Wonderland Challenge of St Nicholas..I love this stamp he looks like I always imagined santa would look like when I was little... now who is regressing!!!lol He is stamped on to glossy card and I have just coloured his hat and holly..


The photo doesn't show up very well that I have glittered part of his hat,the bobble and his beard..



The paper is from my stash can't tell you what it's called have cut the name off...the ribbon is from my stash as are the gem dew drops...I have used one of Janet's sentiment stamps from pink gem design's I just cut it in half to fit..well that's it from me today off to sort out my stand's, cards and things for the craft fayre tomorrow wish me luck..I will take some picc's if I can to show you all...enjoy the weekend....

Boxes!!!

Hi Everyone,
back as promised with my second post for today please scroll down for my first one..As you may know I'm going to run a stall at the Blue Cross Animal charity's christmas craft fayre on saturday so yesterday I decided to have a play around ..and made these two boxes..I was pleased with the way they turned out..



For both boxes I have made 12 little boxes stacked and glued them in threes then put them around a piece of 9cm square board..covered the front's of the drawer's and the sideds with patterned paper...



I put a star shaped brad through the front of the drawer's for the handles..the feet are some wooden reels from hobbycraft which I have painted to match the colours I have used..the image has been coloured with distress inks and cut out with my one of my nesties...the flowers have been glittered .. they are from tabbycrafts the same as the gem dew drops...

The next box is using a technique from the craft stampers magazine by Sue Roddis..you put silver mirri board through an embossing folder then you use black acrylic ink rub it in with your finger and then wipe it straight off with some kitchen towel..leave it to dry and make the box the same as before..


The handle is again a wooden reel painted black and some wire threaded through..



On this one I have cut some strips of the card and glued them round the feet so it all ties in...hope you like them let me know what you think...enjoy the rest of the evening and see you tomorrow with a card..

Crazy 4 Challenges!!!

Morning Everyone,
Hope your all well...at least it has stopped raining here but it's very windy..been out to the washing twice keeps blowing off the line don't fancy my neightbour having to bring my underwear back!!lol..The computer is still without it's new windows 7 software because we have I-Tunes on the computer it want's us to delete it to install so we have go and buy an external hard drive transfer the 2000 yes 2000 songs on to this then we will be able to install it any way enough about my crazy little life on to my card..I have made this for the crazy 4 challenges which was acetate..I decided to make a window..

I cut a piece of card which I have had for so long and never used.. it reminded me of a wintery night with the stars I put some snowflakes and cut out a moon and stuck them on..


then I cut some white card and put some glitter on it to make it look like snow...the little boys are ajudikins stamp that I have had for ages so i stamped it three times coloured them with my distress inks and cut them out..



Then i stuck them on to my card and glittered their wings...this is a side view..



the window is made by cutting the acetate slightly big then the back of the card..I then used some silver peel off's to make the panes of the window and just glittered the corners to make it look like ice..to assemble it stick it down one side then line up the other and stick that.. it will bow in the middle..then I just put some white ribbon down both sides and fixed a bow to the top the Merry christmas is from Pink Gem Designs and I stamped it on the bottom below the three little boys..It's a bit difficult to photograph this card so it looks better in real life trust me hope you like it let me know leave a comment...And don't forget my candy I will be adding some more bits next week...I will be back a bit later with a two little boxes I have made see you then..

Hi!!!

Morning Everyone,
Hope your all well..sorry I haven't posted anything for a couple of days but sunday we were out and then yesterday I spent the day making these pillow boxes..and katy came home with some friends they had history home work to do so I couldn't get anywhere near the computer..I have been asked to do a craft fair on saturday for the Blue Cross animal charity which is where jack the dog came from..haven't done one for years so need to make lots of things..I made these for Katy's school craft fair when she was at primary school the kid's loved them..



You put a bar of good soap in the pillow box with some punched out snowflakes and it becomes snowman soap...



looking forward to do it.. but worrying if I'll have enough stuff and if people will like my cards and things..hope to be back later with a card...

By the cute And Girly Challenge!!!

Evening again, back with my second post this is the project I was working on yesterday..


I wanted to make a table decoration for christmas so i made this one..I have used a cone and cut lengths of ribbon and pinned them around..then I cut two circles of silver mirri board to make the top and bottom for a stand then I used a ribbon reel and glued it in between to make the stand the cone is then glued to this...


I used my star punch to punch out two stars glued a pin to one then put them back to back and put into the top with bow..then I put some gems on some of the branches and on the star..hope you like it please leave a comment and let me know..DON'T FORGET MY CANDY AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG!!!....Enjoy the rest of your weekend off now to catch strictly come dancing for my fix of the utterly gorgeous Ricky Whittle..then I have to see what Simon Cowell has to say for himself after last week..Take care..

Sketch And Stash Challenge!!!

Evening everyone,
Hope your all still here and haven't been blown away..it has been an absolutley terrible day here with high winds and heavy rain my garden has puddles at least 3 inches deep in places..we have been out and bought a new computer as this one is giving up the ghost..will be picking it up tomorrow when it has had all of the programs we bought and the anti-virus software and backup disc's done by some lovely tech guys who know what their doing which is more than I do!!! right round to the cards and project which I made but couldn't post yesterday as I couldn't get a decent pic..hope these are ok..will post the project after this as it is for another challenge!! Here is the card I have made for the sketch and stash challenge....



I have used my new Madalyn stamp from the Greeting Farm..she is soo adorable I have used my distress inke to colour her with..a bit happier with the colouring still got to improve yet..I have put some glossy accents on her shoes and cut her out with one of my nesties...



The paper is from MME called breaking free the aqua border is cut with one of my new EK success punches....



The Tulle and ric rac ribbon is from my stash as are the flowers which I have put a little bit of glitter on them..the gem dew drops are from tabbycrafts and the sentiment is from pink petticoat...off now to post my project

Nearly The Weekend!!

Evening All,
what an awful day it's been here nothing but wind and rain...jack the dog is looking most put out he doesn't like rain so has had his legs crossed for most of the day as he wouldn't go out good job we don't live on a farm with sheep..he's a border collie he should be out in all weathers!!! plus I have been playing around making something which needed pins and I dropped some and because we have a wooden floor I couldn't see them very well so he had to be shut away until I had finished and could hoover up the pins I'd lost....I was hoping to post a card but it has been so overcast that I just couldn't get a decent photo so I think I need to invest in a daylight lamp... hopefully we might have a little bit of brightness tomorrow so I can take some pics..hope you all have a great weekend see you tomorrow with my pics fingers crossed..

Crazy 4 Challlenges!!!

Afternoon Everyone,
Hope your all having a good day..Mine is good as I feel a lot better..housework and ironing is all done so I have finished off a card that I started yesterday..



i have finally got round to inking up one of my new Kraftin kimmie stamps they are gorgeous I love them..I have used distress inks again I'm not going to give up with them I'm determined to get as good as all of you lovely crafters...

I cut her out with my nesties and inked round the edge just to make it abit softer..the card is from my stash which I bought from a maze of memories on my first visit there..I punched the card through the middle with one of my new EK success punches from the same place they are brilliant want some more I tied a piece of raffia round the middle..


The DP is from Dies to Die for it's Daisy bucket garden gate poppy petals...the flowers are from my stash and I have used some of the lovely Gem Dew Drops from the lovely Tabby Crafts..the button is from my mum's button box(thanks Mum) hope she doesn't notice the one (or is it 20) I have taken?!!lol...the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat curly girly sentiments..hope you like the card..thank you for all your lovely comments I love reading them and they mean so much to a newbie like myself..hope to be back later with something else...DON'T FORGET MY CANDY IT'S LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME CHECK IT OUT AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG...

Secret Crafter Challenge!!

Afternoon Everyone,
Bit of an overcast day here and a nip in the air..Hope your all well sorry I didn't post a card yesterday but after feeling cold all day monday.. I woke up early yesterday morning not feeling too good it seems I managed to pick up a sickness bug so wasn't feeling like making cards yesterday..but it was only a 24 hour thing I hope as I feel a lot better this afternoon and have managed to make this card..my first easal card so I'm going to enter it in the Secret Crafter Challenge..photo's are not that good sorry but where it's overcast the flash keeps going off even with a lamp on it..



I have used one of the lovely images of edwin that the Lovely and very talented linda very kindly sent me(thanks Linda) ..I have had another go with the distress inks..I'm determined to master them..I have put a little bit of glitter on the rim of his hat and the bobble..I cut him out with my nesties and use my new Ek success punches for the corners and the card throught the middle..






the string I raided from my hubby's ball in the shed and tied to little bells from my stash to it..

Sketch Saturday challenge!!!

Afternoon Everyone,
Don't know what's wrong with me today I can't get warm and yet the heating is on..it's really cold and overcast here today so I've not ventured far from the house..I've made this card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge...


I've used a scalloped card from craftwork cards..the red and cream card is from my stash and the Dp is a new one I got on saturday from A Maze Of Memories it's MME called the merry days of christmas..

I have used Rodney with his Mistletoe from Pink Gem Designs and have coloured him with distress inks not sure I've got the hang of this properly yet..I've punch the top and bottom with my new EK success bubbles punch it's great..I went round the edge with some distress ink to soften it ..

the snowflakes are punched with my design objectives punch and I have put a gem dew drop in the middle..the cord is from my stash and so is the little bell I have tied to it..hope you like it..DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE CANDY AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG..I'VE ADDED SOME MORE TO IT THIS MORNING..Enjoy the rest of the day I will be back tomorrow with another card..Take care.

No card from me today..have been out today went to see my cousin this morning and then on to a fabulous craft shop in Buckinghamshire called A Maze of Memories it is brilliant so much stuff and they are so helpful and friendly took katy with me as she needed card for school and it saves my stash if she has some of her own when we went in we had tea and cake such a welcome if you get the chance visit or look on their website... Die cut Dreams Challenge!!

Afternoon All,
My but there's a chill in the air here..have been into town this morning on what should have been a flying visit but no met friends,people I hadn't seeen for a while,family in fact uncle tom cobley and all it seems... so 4 hours later I have finally got back home only to find Hubby already home finished work early..so no me time this afternoon oh well..I made this card for the challenge over at Die Cut Dreams where the theme was food or drink and I thought of another of the images that the lovely Linda sent to me it was perfect... I have coloured Tilda with promarkers and put her on to two of the circles cut with my nesties how Ilove these..

The paper is SEI called morning meadow and the green is coredinations leapfrog it went so well together..the flowers and gems are from tabby crafts and I have glittered the roses.. I used the fiskars threading water punch for the two borders..

I punched the leaves with a McGill punch..the tulle and the sentiment are from my stash...hope you all have a great weekend we are off to a firework display tonight so see you all over the weekend..CHECK OUT MY CANDY AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG..
