Afternoon all,

What a day..Katy is still not well the weather is absolutly terrible it's done nothing but rain all afternoon the mobile broadband keeps cutting off and I've got a headache but apart from that we are having a good holiday!! lol right I've had a good old moan feel better now...hope you are all well...I will try and get round to everyones blog as soon as I can...take care.. oh forgot to say I made the top three at Die Cut Dreams Challenge this week..

finally!!!!

Hi Everyone,

well we have finally got set up for our holiday..what a day!!! we have a touring caravan so we got ready last night for an early start today but..I thought the other half had set the alarm and he thought I had so our early start was 6.30 this morning..after shouting my daughter to get up three times I was going to get the dynamite when she appeared saying she didn't feel well any way we set off and finally made it to the site just after lunch..with a daughter who had got worse
as we travelled and who has slept all afternoon but at least it has stopped raining and my brother and sister-in-law have just arrived as well so look out nearest fish and chip shop here we come!!lol plus it gets even better X factor later and an extra hour in bed..anyway got to go enjoy your evening..

Die Cut Dreams Challenge!!!!

Evening Everyone,
Yaa!! the weekend is here..just to let you know I won't be posting many if any cards for the next week as I am going away and my long suffering other half has said no to me taking to much craft stuff with me so I have two projects to take with me but not cards if I get them finished.. I will be taking my laptop so fingers crossed the mobile broadband works I should be able post them and to come and see all the lovely cards you all make..not going to tell you where I'm going more will be revealed next week!!! now on to my card.. I couldn't resist using Milly for the winter wonderland challenge I have coloured her with promarkers..the pink DP is called winter wonderland from craft house I bought it from Bee Crafty..the blue DP is called frosted from the fancy free collection again from Bee Crafty..

the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat..and I have punched the snowflakes with My Martha Stewart punch from pink and blue vellum and put a gem dew drop in the middle of each one..

the ribbon is from my stash which is in need of being stocked up.. hope there is plenty at the NEC can't wait to go..the card is from craftwork cards..thanks for stopping by and your lovely comments they mean so much..

Cute Card Thursday Challenge!!!

HI Everyone,
When I saw the theme for challenge 83 I thought of my Elyzebell set of stamps...I have stamped and coloured the main image with promarkers..the background is stamped with the doughnut stamp and coloured with promarkers also... the DP doesn't have a name on but I bought it from the Stamp Attic and the cupcakes go so well with the theme...

the card is from craftwork cards and the gem dew drops are from tabby crafts...

Penny Black Challenge!!!

I have used two penny black stamps for this card and coloured them with promarkers..the DP is some I have had for a long time don't know the name..
the purple,aqua and black card is from my stash...and the sentiment I typed on the computer..

The tulle is from my stash also and the gem dew drops are from tabby crafts...the card is from craftwork cards..

Sketch Saturday Challenge!!!

Evening Everyone,
The weather here is awful very heavy rain and cold and dark..Have got the other half to flick the heating on nice and cosy now...I thought today was going to get worse..you know when you get in the shower turn and see a big spider then slip and hit your head on the shower door that was the start to my day but..it got better heard from a friend I had spoken to for a while which was a nice surprise and I made two cards scroll down for the other one..any way on to this one..

I have flipped the sketch and used Tilda coloured with polychromos pencils..the DP I have had in my stash for ages..
the decorative edge is punched with the fiskars threading water punch..

the polka dot card and ric rac ribbon is from my stash..the sentiment is from pink petticoat..the flowers are new from tabby crafts same as the gem dew drops the leaves are punched with a woodware punch..

Friday Sketchers Challenge!!!

Hi Everyone,
I made this card for this weeks challenge ..I love the sketch ....
I used the stamp and sentiment which were both free on a magazine ..stamped them with a sepia ink coloured them with promarkers and then put some glaze over both of them..the fur on his hat is polar white flower soft..
The snowflakes are cut with a woodware punch out of red and gold mirri and I have put a gem dew drop in the middle of each one... the DP is a basic grey one don't know the name have cut it off sorry!..the ribbon,polka dot card and fibres are from my stash....

Cute Card Thursday Challenge!!

Back with my second card for today...


I dug out my brayer,glossy card and multi coloured pad..I brayered the background then cut it out with my nesties and the black glitter card...I stamped some flourishes around the outside in black ink..the image is another one from the lovely Linda (thanks Linda) I coloured her with promarkers ... I stamped the spider ,bat and sentiment straight on to the background which is MME boo to you paper..the charm and ribbon are from my stash..

Colour create challenge!!

Evening All,
I have been trying to post this card for the last few hours but as per usual for me at the moment I have had nothing but interuptions..phone calls,visitors then my daughter had to use the main computer instead of the laptop..I could have screamed but the plus side was I sat and played while I wait for her to finish and managed to make another card which I will post next..



I have used another Pink Gem designs stamp called Goth Fairy she suited the colour combo I thought so I coloured her with promarkers and added some glitter..I put the black card thought the star cuttlebug embossing folder..cut the flowers with a woodware retro flower punch and added a gem dew drop to the centre..the ribbon and check and red card is from my stash...thanks for stopping by.

Truly Scrumptious Challenge!!!

I seem to have posted a lot today but this is my first card....

I have used another Pink Gem designs stamp Autumn Milly I love these stamps they are so versatile..I have stamped her on to the same DP as the background and used it for her dress she is coloured in with promarkers...I have used some glaze on the leaves and conker around her..

The leaves are cut with a woodware maple punch and a gem dew drop added to all of them..the card is from craftwork cards and the bazill and ribbon is from my stash...thanks for stopping by might be back later with another card.. if not tomorrow..enjoy the rest of the day take care..

Morning All,

Sorry I didn't get back yesterday with any cards... but I went yesterday morning to see a lovely lady called Mrs Cox she is 80 years young you may know her better as Skribble the cartoonist
she very kindly allowed me to go through her designs and pick some so that I could use them to make some cards for my chosen charities I need to take them first to have them copied ..but when I make the cards I will let you all have a look at her fantastic artwork..so when I finally got back home and thoughtI would make a card I had nothing but one of those afternoons with constant interuptions and before I knew it the day was gone...so hopefully not tempting fate for any more interuptons I will be back later with a card..see you later.

Secret Crafter Challenge!!!

Hi All,
Sorry I didn't get back yesterday with a card..but my second teaching class at my local craft shop over ran..we were having a good time and the time just flew... so by the time I got home and sorted everyone out with food etc it was time for my fix of the gorgeous Ricky Whittle on strictly come dancing...anyway here is a card I have made for the secret crafter challenge of digging out an old stamp.. this one is from Hampton Art..I just love the simplicity of it I have inked it up with brown ink and stamped on to some textured glossy card and just coloured his nose and bells with promarkers...

the DP is Basic Grey prehistoric and the snowflakes are punched out of gold and red mirri card for that little bit of bling i have put a red gem dew drop in the middle...

the ribbon and sentiment is from my stash..this is one of the first stamps I ever brought and it come's out every year ..hope you are all having a good weekend will be back tomorrow afternoon with some more cards..got something special to do in the morning will let you know about it tomorrow..take care.

Die cut dreams challenge!!!

It has been a lovely day here sun is shining..fantastic weather for october.. I've had a nice day no interuptions at all which is unusal..managed to make two cards again scroll down to see the second one..got my second teaching class tomorrow 12 ladies again hope it goes as well as wednesday fingers crossed..

I've used a Pink Gem Design stamp coloured with promarkers, the DP is doodlebug ..the yellow card I put through my ribbler cut with nesties... the buttons and ribbon are from my stash and the gem dew drops are from tabby crafts..hopefully I should be back tomorrow afternoon after my class with another card..enjoy your evening and have a great weekend.. take care..

Secret Crafter Challenge!!!

What a day here it's been raining all day so dark and so cold have flipped the heating on can't craft while I'm cold...just had a lovely surprise a friend of a friend is emigrating and has some stamps that she no longer needs so I have been very generous and said I could give them a new home lol can't wait to see what they are..I have managed to make two cards will post the second after this one..I really love the stamps from Pink Gem Designs here is another one

Sophisticat challenge!!!

Second post for today so a quickie..

I love this sketch and thought the snowflakes worked well the paper I have had in my stash and don't know the name of it..the sentiment is a hero arts one I've had for a long time..the ribbon is from the stamp attic and the snowflake punch is a design objectives one.. I put the cream card through my cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder and put gem dew drops in the middle of the snowflakes..well thats it from me for today I need a soak in the bath and an early night be back tomorrow with some more cards..take care..

Penny Black Saturday Challenge!!!

Hi Everyone,

Had hoped to post this card and another one earlier but I've been busy today...It was my first day today to teach a card class for 12 ladies at a local craft shop...the nerves kicked in about 4am this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep so have been up for ages...the class went really well the ladies were real keen to learn and were pleased with the cards they made so saturdays class should be ok then I have a month to get sorted for the next class anyway here is my card....

love this image I have coloured it with promarkers..the papers are Bo Bunny ...the ribbon,buttons,tulle and card are from my stash...

Stamp Something Challenge!!!

Second post for today...got this stamp a while ago it's an hero arts one just thought with the colours brown plus one it went perfect

I inked the stamp with brushed corduroy distress ink...added two blue gem dew drops to the flowers..put the aqua card through my ribbler cut the brown mat with nesties and added three blue gem dew drops to the bottom then layered it all together and added a rose and some ribbon..bit different to my normal card but I think it works well

will have one more card to post later.

Simon Says Challenge!!!

Morning Peeps,
Lovely day here sun is shining... washing is on the line... housework is done..so I have made a card with some of my new papers it's for the Simon Says Challenge which is Halloween so I couldn't resist using Max and his dog from pink gem designs they are so cute

the papers are MME called the spider's web from a maze of memories..I cut the circles with nesties and put the orange one through my pumpkin embossing folder..the ribbon and charm are from my stash and the sentiments are from design objectives...will be back after lunch with another card.. see you then.

Sketch Saturday Winners Prize!!

Bit late posting this card... but I've had a lovely day I found a new craft shop today called a maze of memories in buckinghamshire it's wonderful they have a 1000 papers to chose from.. .so as you can guess I just had to buy some and some ribbon and a new embossing folder and some ribbon and some buttons you know how it is... if you get the chance visit everyone is so friendly and helpful theres's free tea and coffee and for £1 you can use any of the equipment such as their cricut,punches etc any way enough about my day.. Ihave made this card because I was one of the winners of the saturday sketch challenge and my prize was £10 voucher to use at pollycrafts so here is one of the images I got she is called Ginger

This will be a quick post as I need to get my fix of the lovely Ricky Whittle on strictly come dancing....I have managed to get this card made today it has been a lovely sunny day here hope it last...Right here we go

I made this with a stamp from Pink Gem coloured in with distress inks the first time I have used them the DP is from my stash and I don't know the name sorry...for the two panels I have used some Tim Holtz's grunge paper coloured with distress inks and put through the pumpkin embossing folder I love this paper it feels and smells like suede... the sentiment is from design objectives and the gem dew drops from tabby crafts and the tulle is from my stash.

Morning everyone,

I'm one of the sketch saturday winners what a surprise I can't belive it..can't wait to use my voucher there are so many lovely images over at pollycrafts to chose from..Sorry I didn't get back yesterday to post any more cards but I had one of those days where nothing went right..first I had a doctors appointment yesterday morning he was running late and the appointment was an hour late which meant that everything I had planned to do in town I didn't get done as I had to get back home to meet a builder in the afternoon who it turned out was also running late....so by the time that was all sorted out everyone was home from work and school with the usually what's to eat...got sorted thought right my time now only for my daughter to inform me that I was the taxi service for the evening she had a party to go to and needed to be dropped off at 7 and picked back up at 10 so the party was where one of my friends live so I spent the evening catching up with her it was lovely...these teenagers seem to have a better social live than I have...just going to pop into town now and do the things I didn't do yesterday but when I get back I should hopefully have some cards to post...

Helping a Friend out!!!

Afternoon everyone,

Yesterday my friend got herself into a real state she had one of the pink gem stamps and she knew what she wanted to make but could she make it ...no ...so she came to see me and left it with me to do as it is a gift for her mum...written instructions to the side of me away I went not really knowing what I was making any way by late yesterday afternoon this is what I ended up with...

It turned out to be a box with the card attached to the top...it has four small matchboxes around the side I don't know where she got the instructions from but it must be somewhere on the web..

this is the inside of the card I inked just little Gem and left the basket off this time and cut two scalloped circles and two plain ones with my nesties...

This picture shows where the four little drawers are and I have lined them with the same paper and put a piece of white card over the front to hide the legs of the heart brads that I used for handles...the card sentiment is one that was free on a magazine and have just matted it on a small nestie and put some clear gloss finish on the top..

This is a side view of the box....I was pleased when it was finished with the way it turned out hope you like it... hope to be back later with a card take care.
